We believe in being straightforward about data. We collect what we need to make Streak work well for you, and we don't sell your personal information to anyone.

What we collect

Account information

• Email address (to log you in)
• Name and username (to identify you)
• Profile photo (if you add one)

Travel data

• Countries you've visited, lived in, or want to visit
• This is the core of what Streak does — building your travel map

Usage information

• How you use the app (to improve the product)
• Device and browser info (for debugging)
• We use analytics tools to understand usage patterns

How we use your data

• To show your travel map on your profile
• To let you compare maps with other users
• To send you important updates about your account
• To improve and fix the product

What's public

Your profile is public by default. This includes:

• Your username and name
• Profile photo
• Countries you've visited and lived in
• Your travel statistics

Your wishlist is private — only you can see the countries you want to visit. Your email is never shown publicly.

Data storage

We use Firebase (Google Cloud) to store your data. Your information is stored securely with industry-standard encryption. We keep your data as long as your account is active.

Third parties

We work with a few services to run Streak:

• Firebase — authentication and data storage
• Mapbox — map rendering
• PostHog — analytics (privacy-focused)
• Vercel — hosting

We don't sell your data to advertisers or data brokers.

Your rights

You can:

• Download your data
• Update or correct your information
• Delete your account and data

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in. We also use analytics cookies to understand how people use Streak. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features may not work properly.

Children

Streak is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email or through the app.
